If you fish or play in the Mount Hope Bay and the Taunton River Watershed you may be interested in submitting comments on the waste water discharge permit for the Brockton Sewer Plant which is now out for public comment.

Although Brockton may seem a long way from where you fish EPA estimates that 30% of the nitrogen loading in Mount Hope Bay comes from this plant. EPA has stepped up to the plate on this issue by perusing a Federal Judicial Consent Decree against the city and issuing a pretty tough permit. They need our support during this comment period. For those interested in commenting we have put some helpful info on the web at http://www.glooskapandthefrog.org/comments.htm
