Fish caught trolling don't really count do they. Anyone can ride around and find fish. 50# is good to see, I was thinking that there were never gonna be any fish caught in Newport ever again. Outright dismal except for boat fish.

Haven't seen the picture of the fish yet - I still have eels left over from the Rhody Leg Saturday, so I haven't been down to see Joe or Bobby - might just take 'em for a midnite stroll tonite, though with the SW.......so I'll probably take a look-see at it tomorrow.

Heard it was caught on an umbrella rig, don't know if that's true or not.

Hey, BFDC

"There is no royal road to this heavy surf-fishing. With all the appliances for comfort experience can suggest, there is a certain amount of hard work to be done and exposure to be bourne as a part of the price of success." From "Striped Bass," Scribner's Magazine, 1881.
