My first keeper of the year

I hate being so big, makes the fish look so small, even though it is small.. Oh well... bigger ones lurking.

If that's 28 inches , 28 inches is too low a limit!

Oh lofty shores cut deep within,
whos waves know what brings striped skin?
When tide and time the Earth does turn,
it is they who fish with beaming grin.

With scaled sides and sweeping tail,
how powerfully you tend to flail.
You travel'd many hundred miles,
the inner power you unveil.

They seek and sometimes find,
inner peace within their mind.
With special rod and angle such,
will this cast be so kind?

They seek the elusive, the wild.
through late sping mornings, fog drifting mild.
Waters bring them bass they seek,
upon such rocks today has smiled.

Good job BJ... don't worry what everyone else is doing on the site... it'll only drive you nuts! The only competition in fishing is against yourself, and it feels great to catch fish no matter what the size.
