WELL... Mass Leg results????

Katie and I had a great time at the BBQ. Missing link i think you and your family deserve an award for being a fantastic grill miester and with a back up team as yours, it probably couldn't have been any better. THE FOOD WAS AWESOME!

Anywho... did manage to catch a fish last night maybe a 29" which was released. Bud8 caught one about 33 also released. Fishaholic abused eels by using them for bluefish floss. Katie caught a skate which was also released other than that it was kind of a slow night. and the fish were caught not too long after we first arrived. then i guess itwas like someone thru the switch. The fish left and Bud8 started a singalong including such popular hits as brady bunch theme and of course the allways popular Barney song. the evening concluded with a reinactment of the river dance. I thought we did it quite well considering no alcohol was consumed.

Great time redcrbbr, we must do it again. Lets just make sure Bud8 takes his meds next time.

I can't get that Barney tune out of my head now.

Oooohhhh...I'm just recuperatin' now - it was a looong day.

Hey, thanks to all the S-B Cape Cod cousins for showin' the Rhody crew a good time.

Special thanks to Mike and Barbara at M&D's - it's a damned nice shop. Hope you all got a chance to take a look at the Ron Arra Mike twisted up for the raffle - I'm goin' to St Mary's later and light a candle for my tickets.

A real big thanks from me to Mr and Mrs Newell Guy - you guys are the best. They tried hard to put some Rhody boys into fish at the canal - Eben hooked - and lost at the rocks - a bass we figured somewhere in the 20's from what we saw of it. Hey, Eben - ya know, that was a Palm Beach release (or maybe P-town, up the Cape)...

Dave, when you and your mrs. get to Newport I plan on returning the favor - got a coupla places you guys just might like - and maybe your wife can talk to my bride about surfcasting and fishing in general - they got a lot in common like birthdays 2 days apart and coming from families of 8 kids. Anyway, when you guys wanna come down this way, give us a shout. Thanks again - next time I'll be a little more familiar with things - I'm gonna rig up some canal jigs outta old sash weights I got in the basement and duct tape a paint brush to it. Sheeeesh, now I finally know what landing a large in the canal must be like!

Anyway, more later - gotta turn to with patio repairs, perfect day for it.

So my stats were:

No hits, no runs, one error....the error not bringin' bigger damed jigs. Guess I'll never thinks a 2 1/2 oz jig is good-sized again, anyway.

Thanks again - still had fun regardless of the skunk - and it beat the poop outta working on 'This #@#$**# Old House' all weekend.

I got a few fish (had to leave while they were still hitting) at the ditch. I gotta thank Newelly Guy for the gorilla jigging technique tips and the lead/rubber setup, I wouldn't have picked up any fish if it wasn't for that. Throwing plugs and sluggo's for a bit with nothing-switched back to the jig and picked up 5 fish on 7 casts-nothing huge but one for the fry pan.
Thanks again Dave-I already dug out my heavy stuff today to see what I got and trying to figger out when I can get back down to the ditch.

Is it good, or is it Sofa King good?

ahhh my bass.... while it is always a bummer to loose a nice fish, it is what keeps me comig back for more punnishment. Yeah chuck, we agreed it was at least 25 lbs from the looks and feel of it...

O well you win some and you loose some
Dave thanks for the use of that meat stick. I would have been in trouble with my little toothpick throwing those 4oz jigs and like crafty said, when your down in RI, I'd be happy to be a tour guide.. well unless I have baby duty

Fun night!

Good to see everyone, but having been out late Friday night and itching to hit Westport today, I blew off any fishing. My friend Drew had the hot hand today with a couple nice 20 lb fish on my 4" split tails of all things, but that's what they wanted today, drifted on a 1/2oz Owner in 15-20 foot. Then I got the itch to go look at that infamous Island across the way, figuring a NW even blowing hard wouldn't be too bad. Didn't take long and I think I wet my pants several times looking at all those sweet bolders around the sow and pigs, oh my god was that sweat water. For all the nice cover and a good current, we had better fishing where we came from, but we did pick a few out of there. There were some guides giving us the look, likely not many Lund 19 footers fish those waters. Too bad the wind went around SW or I'd have stayed longer, but decided to beat feet.

Don't worry about those looks. We used to go over there in a 16 Foot Lund. Talk about weird looks.

Hey Guys - thanks for showing up and having another great time - as usual.

Big Thanks to Mike, Barbara, & Felicia for being great hosts as ususal. Thanks for letting us block all parking access for the rest of your customers.... (One guy in a van asked what we were doing with 40 trucks with fishin' poles

Thanks to the Missing Links for cooking excellent eats as usual - and sweet S-B logo'd BassCake

Great job by all, including those that, uhh, donated plugs and to those that got tickets for the Rod Raffle (thanks Katie for helping with the TIX).

Well Sprinkles, Bazza and I headed up to funnytown and hit several areas without sight of a fish - other than one beach wehre we thought we saw fish jumping out of the water but no hits - Drove some beach - a lot of inaccessible areas.

Wind picked up and was cranking last night that hampered last couple spots....

Hmmm, 2 legs for me this year, 0-2 in the keeper dept

Again - thanks to everyone - great time as we always have!!

try using Dawn dish washing liquid. We use it on the dog whenever he gets into one, which is about 2 or 3 times a year.
