Piscataqua Full of Fish

The wife and I have been catching fish in the Piscataqua River at night. Nothing huge yet, but plenty of fish in the slot here in Maine. Have tried both the tube and worm and umbrella rigs, but nothing on either of those. Storm shad lures and bucktails with rubber bodies does the trick though.

Question is, tube and worm or umbrella rig... what am I doing wrong??? Fish them both very slow, deep, using wire line. Guess I should not complain, we are catching fish... but with all the bucks I spent on this new equipment, if I do not put something in the boat with it, I might find myself sleeping on the couch with it soon.

See you out there,
Ron
