spooled by a seal this weekend
Took my biggest fish of the weekend too. Didn't get to see her but she felt about 20 # before she felt about 300. Had the seal on for a while too. At least I know my gear is ready for that 50!

Was the seal hooked? That must have been a sneaky seal... I never get bass when they are around

Walmart rod is strictly a river rod. It is in the cellar for another 10 months Yes it was hooked. I had to tighten the drag to break off and not loose thirty dollars worth of line. The guy fishing next to me made the "oops I crapped my pants" face when he heard my drag screaming. It was pretty funny.

Yeah the seals can be a real pain, but they have a good side... take a girl out to see the cute little seals, and she'll love you for life... Now that I think about it, damn those seals!!!

Funny,
You gave me the same story this time last year, except you said "Dude, I hooked a massive tuna from the beach>"
Later,
