Just got back

Just got back from the Cape mostly bonding with my 8 year old around Bass River for five days. (Sorry I didn't get a chance to hook up with ya, Hooper, I looked over a couple times but didn't see ya). I did hook up with something else out of Bass River and heading slightly to the left for half an hour or so. I'm holding my shorter looking lineside in back I got casting on 12 lb test with a YoZuri diver, while in front is my cousin with his first 40 he got dunking an eel at the edge of a shoal named for a man or woman's snotrag. 32" seems pretty adequate until someone else hauls in a 40" with a head as big as mine.

Actually, it ain't that bassless, BM, but it isn't what I'd call plentiful. I was weaning my 8 year old off the spincast with a new Diawa spinning reel and we were doing OK catching and releasing shorts down under the BR bridge on the Dennis side casting out some kind of holographic herring, between the 3 and 5th pilings. Seem to be some decent sized scup around there, too and some guy walked off with a 29" striper off the dock Friday night.
