Bass to 30# Last Nite on Live Eels and a Hab's Hat

It's gotta be the hat.

Actually, my new lucky hat

"There is no royal road to this heavy surf-fishing. With all the appliances for comfort experience can suggest, there is a certain amount of hard work to be done and exposure to be bourne as a part of the price of success." From "Striped Bass," Scribner's Magazine, 1881.

could be the hat, but it could also be that the bass gods prefer to shine down on senior citizens.

Eben, the Almighty blesses us all from time to time -

But I dunno, maybe crusty old pharts occasionally do get a little extra dispensation -

God knows I've been in the on deck circle long enough this year... it's good to finally see fish around anyway -

Hey, listen - don't let the white hair fool ya - old age and treachery will beat youth and skill every time

Hey, Russ the old 'wedding tackle' is still in fine shape - ya just gotta keep up on the maintainance

Besides, I got a house full of 22 year old cup-cakes living next door for the summer who always give me a big smile and a cheery good morning....heheheheheheh..... Even the young girls know that older men understand a woman has special needs....

Yes indeedy, always had it, always will....
