First ever trip to Nantucket!!! I can't wait, I'm packed ready to go and watching the clock. With any luck, Hurricane Charlie will keep us over there until Tuesday.

Spend as much time as possible with my oldest... he is off to pre-season soccer, for college Sunday AM, gets back next Friday, then move him into his dorm same day... cook him and his gal dinner Sat. night, so I won't be at that meeting in P-town... or fishin'
After I get back Sunday, I'll wet a line, or spin some wood, depending on what my mood is.

I think I'll go fishing. Heading to Orleans for a vacation week with the family.
Looks like Charlie will let me get the tourist things out of the way over the first couple days and then it's time for the beach. Probably hit Nauset and South beaches during the day with the kids then get out a couple nights and/or sunrises alone to pound the sand. If the winds lay down, get the kayaks out on Pleasant Bay a couple times. Staying near Quanset Pond.
If you see some poor SOB walking miles from the Nauset parking lot, have mercy and give a brother a lift. My sand sled stays home in the driveway for this trip.

Heading up to West Dennis tonight for a week. I'll be the tall guy with the beer can in hand often seen hanging out in the shadows of the BR Bridge with three fems close by. Been waiting 46 years to experience a hurricane on the Cape that wasn't captured on black and white 8mm film. Looks like I my wish might come true...oh yea, and that the surge crams the river full of large.

No fishing for me The Great New England Air Show is decending upon Westover ARB,MA. I have to be on duty both Sat and Sun When you are around planes every day, this show is no big deal. But, on the other hand...for all you civilians out there...it's an awesome way to get up close to a whole bunch of Military and Civ aircraft. Also the Thunder Birds will be there both days. I will post a schedule later if any of you are interested. Admission is free and so is parking.
