The Sox have always been great at building up "hopes" late in the season, only to have them come crashing down in the end!!!! I will wait till' the fat lady sings thankyou very much.

My favorite ride at Fenway Park is the "Delusion Ride"....you stay strapped on the edge of your seat for 162 games and at the end, the ride comes crashing to a halt and everyone throws up!

You mean the Yankees might "WIN" this year instead of getting thumped by a second rate team in the World Series?

I would love for the Sox to get a chance to get thumped by a second rate team in the World Series though.

You guys are too funny and in typical Red Sox fan fashion.....your were ready to hang them 7 or 8 games ago and now they are going "deep" into the playoffs! Back on the "Delusion Ride" for you guys.....I will have the cryin' towels and barf bags ready for you!

Listening to WEEI today and man....those fickle, freakin' fans are already making up the Championship rings and talking about the Yankees collapsing!!! When will you guys ever learn?

Commit, BF, committ. Get up on that wagon and get yourself a seat..Francona's already starting to set up the rotation for the first round of the playoffs.. So far he said it's Schill, then Pedro and he's not sure about the third guy yet.

In keeping with my previous statement and the fact that I am so positive the Sox will blow it......if Afterhours is sincere about his bet I will take it.....two plugs that the Sox make it to the ALCS? If the Sox make it....I will give you two plugs......if they don't make it, you give me two plugs (no crushed barbs though)

Am I missing something....According to the Sox Website they play Texas labor Day Weekend and actually open a series w/ Oakland on Labor Day

hmmmmmmmm! my bad :P i knew they had 6 games in sept v the yanks and one series is usually labor day weekend? it had been for the past couple yrs :P my bad hehehe perhaps i should've looked at the schedule. but my point stands! they shall overtake the yanks!
