Talking It's all about being in the right place at the right time

After I picked up my son last night we decided to swing by one of my old spots in our old neighborhood, just to take a look around and maybe throw out a few casts. First thing I notice is a guy fishing near the jetty and my kid says "wow, look at that".
I had to put on my glasses and then I saw what he meant.....the guys fighting a fish and the water looked like it was boiling Bait flipping and jumping outta the water. Figger it's just the blues on something so I put on steel and topwater plugs. Yup, blues (but Eric doesn't care, he just loves the fight of any fish, Hell, so do I ). Lots of em in the 5-8 #range. Then I hook up with a bass in the low teens. Switch out to Storms for my son so he can get down below and 6 " Ledgerunners on 1 oz for me. Plenty of good bass Best for me was 41" about 27#, my best this year. And my kid got what I would guess to be his first 20#er Lot's of fish in the teens to low 20#. Wish I had a scale Took home two for dinner this week.

First time I ever just walked right in on a blitz and didn't have to go looking for it
