Anybody Hittin' 'Em in This Swell?

Checked all my usual spots throughout the day yesterday and most were awash - so I headed Up Yonder for the nite.

Some timid hits from smaller fish, hit one about 7 or 8# that didn't realize Something Bad was stuck in his lip til he hit the beach - that little guy was one dumb bass and stands a good chance of getting removed from the gene pool next year I would think....

Me and Uncle Zeke finally called it around 1:30 due to lack of interest - theirs and ours.

Anybody else?

I also saw on the morning news 3 guys at Camp Varnum got swept off the rocks while fishing - one guy got a compound fracture of the leg and 2 of the rescuing Narragansett firemen got swept overboard as well - one ended up with broken ribs. Hey, if they wanna drown themselves that's one thing - jeopardizing the lives of the rescuers is another.

Ya know, nevermind that little bass last nite - those 3 guys are gonna find themselves removed from the gene pool if that adventure didn't put the fear of the Almighty in 'em.

"There is no royal road to this heavy surf-fishing. With all the appliances for comfort experience can suggest, there is a certain amount of hard work to be done and exposure to be bourne as a part of the price of success." From "Striped Bass," Scribner's Magazine, 1881.

Forget about anywhere in Narr Bay - too many bluefish. I took the family out today (kids included) and they had a blast pulling in Bluefish.

I'm so tired (of de-hooking and washing down all of the blood) I could cry. It's Miller Time for me tonight.

PS DEM was called into Warwick Cove today due a porpose that had somehow wandered up the bay.
