I lost a H U G E sea bass this morning

I was eeling for SB and thought I had a 20# SB or so..took drag, bull dogged me around the boat got him up close and I could not believe my eyes..this had to be a 10# black sea bass THe 9/0 circle hook did not penatrate and was twisted in his mouth, when I was reaching for the net he got free. I think that might have been a state record. I was shocked to see it

Sucks..
My father lost a monster fluke a few years back the same way (at boatside reaching for the net.... fluttered on the surface for a sec and was gone....
