I would like to nominate bernzy's "Surf Howdy" as the best new plug to come on the market (in limited runs albeit) in quite some time.
Last year I would give the nod to Tattoos sea spook but I think the Surf Howdy has proven itself as quite a plug this year from everyone that has one.
Casts like a bullet and catches fish like a Habs yet has a polished refined look of a shiny new BMW.
I only have one left (at the moment) and I and afraid to really fish it much cause I don't want to risk loosing it. I took a couple with it last night though...

At dawn I was taking 20#er after 20#er on this plug... at the "holy land". I left at 8:00am to go to work. I was using eels but when I reeled up one fish and 10 others were chasing the loose eel ...I figured...screw the eels lets go surface plugs. They were stacked up thick at the outter tip of the reef at dawn but they were all exactly the same size. no really large fish. (but I know where they are
(That is one great thing about living where I live...I can fish pigs and be home by nine to go to work...now thats livin!)
