This is VERY bad.
What kind of a friggin' idiot would pull Lowe who is absolutely unhittable and put in Pedro of all people?! What about Wake?
This is insane.

Slip---he threw 69 pitches in 6 freakin' innings, fer crissakes
If I wrote the script for this, they'd a effin' laughed me out of the studio "Yeah, right, Francona's REALLY gonna lift a cruising Lowe after 6 and bring Pedro in. Gimme a pahrkin' break, kid"

Look at the bright side---if the Sox hang on, Pedro won't be able to go in game 1 of the Series.

The saving grace for the Sox is that Gordon sucks more than Pedro.

They can have mustaches but not past the corner of their mouth. No Fu's or goatees. Mattingly had a 'stache.

Russ,I ain't gettin huffy, I completely agree that he does some very weird things, I was howling when he put Pedro in. But call it luck, ability, deeper roster, whatever you like, Francona outmanaged a Hall of Fame Manager in this last series.
Bring on Larussa and his tinted glasses!!

I am not trying to be negative but that was the dumbest move ever bringing in Pedro with a 7 run lead. Not to mention that Lowe was cruising and could have picthed another couple innings. Now Pedro might not be able to pitch Game 1.

Game 3 could be Pedro vs Clemens.
In any event, Game 3 is in an NL park so Pedro has to bat
LaRussa is the most overrated manager of the last 30 years. Managed to lose the Series to two teams with way inferior talent in the late 80s when he was managing that Oakland powerhouse.
