Texas Fish

Well I just got my next assignment and I'll be working in Houston, TX over the winter. Anyone have any experience fishing off the Texas coast? I might want to look into a charter or two while I'm down there. Not sure what time of year and what types of fish are prevalent but I hear those oil rigs are great structure for fish.

Redfish are very similar to Stripers. Goto Cyberangler.com and look up a guide...

Oh Boy Oberto sponsers a Red Fish Tour all over the south. Texas has many of the tournys. Lots of protected inshore water.
Also big Amberjack, Cobia and groupers at the offshore rigs.
