Report

Sorry our site has not been updated our provider has had some FTP issues. Here is the report that will be posted. Just a small footnote. Weekapaug Point and Fenway Beach are really hot.

Weekapaug Breachway/Weekapaug Point: Bluefish (big bluefish) are here. Striper fishing remains quite good at dawn and dusk from Weekapaug Breachway east all the way down Misquamicut to Watch Hill. Six Flags and the State Beach have been the best fishing at dusk and dawn, with a lot of top water action. The Andera Hotel is doing quite well at night (Bunker and Squid seem to be the best bait). Weekapaug Point, Fenway and Weekapaug Beach have been great at night. The point has been producing large fish at night on large plugs and eels. The breachway has also been pretty good at night.
Quonny Breachway/Pond/West Beach: The end of the breachway on the outgoing has had monster blues to 18 pounds throughout the falling tide with some good-sized bass mixed in. The beach (in the rocks) to the east has been the best bet for bass are producing Stripers. Inside the breachway all the way to the boat ramp is still very good on the incoming.
East Beach/Charlestown Breachway: East Beach and Central beach are producing large numbers of bluefish and stripers after dark. A number of large fish have been taken at Fresh Pond rock. East Beach, itself has been best at night for chunkers both day and night. Not many reports from the breachway this week.
Watch Hill/Napatree Point: Boaters are still doing well along the east side of the lighthouse and the reefs both day and night. Watch Hill light has been very consistent on the dropping tide. A number of fishermen reported fish into the twenties after dark. Napatree is Napatree; we weighed fish of 30.75, 27.20 and 24.40 this week with reports of fish almost every night.
Block Island: Not a good week for boaters as the wind howled most of the week. One regular gave us a call via cell phone from BI; all he could say was fish are everywhere. He had three great nights of fishing despite the heavy wind.
Point Judith: We also had good reports from Point Judith light and Camp Cronin, one regular had 5 keepers in less than an hour at Camp Cronin. He also reported some nice fish at the light.
Tight Lines Everyone.
