if your gonna spray silver, or other light metalics first?
at least 400 on the primer. 600 better.

light metalics REALLY highlight the grain/sand scratches

klingspor is the best cloth Slip

nice stuff
which grade of klingspor? I've been using it for years, be careful where it's made, the stuff from mexico is crap
you get what you pay for, but some suppliers pass off the cheap stuff and make more dough but don't get repeat biz.

I sand my primer with the 150 grit sponge then dust it with 220 grit cloth. Give it an alcohol rub down and paint.
