I'm not of the criminal mind. But back when I lived the Bronx, I had a few friends that did some nice vin jobs on Camaros and Vettes. Can't imagine a boat being any more difficult then a car.
Hope they find those ***holes and hang them from some powerpro by their balls!

NJT, Where'd you live in The Bronx? I still live there, unfortunately, and I can relate. There was this group of guys we knew, they were always drving by with a Vette or a Mustang, always stolen. One guy is dead, another in prison and one is still around.

If the value exceeds 10K they should be lookin at some jail time. Getting away with will be difficult if they keep it locally.

There's nothing worse on this world than a thief.Except a child molestor or a murderer and the thief is right up there with them.

2 blocks from Pelham Bay station. Went to St. Raymonds 4 years, and then Manhattan College. Hung out down at the 'fort' (near marina under Throggs Neck bridge, forget the name). Hung with the Stollman and crowd (he was like the mayor down there). Place has changed many times over since I moved out of there.

Any new info on Gary's boat? I dug up this thread in hopes of an update.

I'd keep an eye out in the classified for any parts for sale. I doubt they'd keep the boat/parts for themselves. If you have the serial numbers, you'll then be one step closer to catching the mo'fos.

Have a friend with law enforcement connections. Had his car stolen with his cellphone inside. Traced the wereabouts of the car via the cellphone. I think that technology will put most of these scumbags in jail befoe long.
Really sorry about the boat....

I'm sorry for the owner. It really feels like S--T to get ripped off. I wish the best on a quick complete recovery of the goods.
