LapTop Help
Im in the market for one nothing fancy I only do e-mails and directions,flight times etc!! would need a wireless card so I can use it in the car any recomendations money is an object in this case so gots to be thrifty.

I dont have a clue whats good, bad I have a Viao at home way to many features dvd burner, cd burner all that stuff cost extra and i dont have a clue how to use it $2400.00 3 years ago this one at the office $499.00 does the same for me as the expensive one I just want a cheap lap top I can answer emails in the car when Im on the road is there such a thing.

Mr Macey, try the guy down the street at Raynham Marketplace...he does used and all that stuff....could probably build you exactly what you need.

Go to CTS Computers over in Raynham by 495 where the Honey Dew donuts store is, by 495 on rt138.
He does good business, and I refer a lot there.

yep
the used one is too much for what I need plus it looks beat that guy up on 138 is good he fixed my cd drive when a disk blew up in it sitting there nice and quite put a disk in and BABOOM what a noise I allmost fell out the chair LOL didnt know what happened.

yes he is good... i presume you are talking about hung tran who is the top dog over there... i throw a lot of busienss his way cuz he is reputable and never overdoes it for the customer.

how can I find out what a viao pcv-rx580 desk top is worth if I was to trade this in on a new lap top is there anyone around that does things like this I know this one was top of the line at the time we bought it has everything in it.

I've never heard of a trade-in on computers unless you meant a company like Dell or Gateway, I think I heard once that they do tradeins... but I think only on their own products.
You can e-bay it or put it up for sale on your front lawn

Brought that HP back
went with toshibia I did not like that wireless card hanging out the side I wanted it integrated what a time trying to return that.

Good thing at that.HP/Compaq laptops are junk.And their customer service is horrible.You WILL be speaking with someone in India.
Toshiba customer service I can't comment on.Never needed it in the 4yrs I owned one.

I work in the IT industry. Laptops are generally the bane of my existence in the IT industry. Laptops are a PITA to deal with. Hence the reason I don't eagerly expect to own one for home or personal use.

I like the mobility of a laptop
for my work Im allways on the road and if I can jump in a hotel and answer my emails The laptop will pay for itself I cant find anyone that wants to drive so I do alot of it myself and I miss alot of work by being out of the office I am heading to Best buy today and strighten this cc thing out.

Yup, I can see why. Don't forget that sometimes a PDA can do just as much as a laptop can if you just want immediate access to your emails and is probably easier to handle while you're on the road.
