The "COD WAR"

I estimate that there was approximately 70 people at the meeting!!!

After sitting and listening to the pro and con, from both sides of the fence, I think "Diodottie" did a good job giving both sides a chance to air their grievances!!!

Dave Waldrip spoke well for the "Sports" as did the fella who owns the Aluminum boat!!! And Don King and Mark Godfrie basically spoke for the "GillNetters" as did the lawyer!!!

Diodottie in my opinion gave the netters every chance to present their case why not to be shut out from the area in question!!! He asked how many nets would be sustainable!!!They couldn't or wouldn't give an answer!!! He asked several other questions directed at the netters, they had no positive or some kind of comitment to helping solve the problem!!!!!

State Rep. Bruce Tarr spoke with many words, he is a talker!!!
Those of us that read the rules that were projected on the screen gives the ultimate authority to the supreme ruler, 'Diodttie"!!! now I understand why he calls himself "GOD"!!!

In the end I feel that, Diodotties ruling will stand even tho it is a little late!!!! The area has been "RAPED!!!" This issue should be discussed by the fisheries well in advance of next year!!! Maybe it shouldn't be opened to "GiilNetting at all!!!!

One other thing, maybe more of "US!!!" should have stood up and spoke!!!

Just one more thing, "Thanks to you that did speak on our behalf!!!"

Happy New Year!!!

Happy New Year??

Fly Rod.

Great post, it really lets folks who could not attend a better idea of what went on. I fished the other day and absolutley nothing there. It is a shame because my records indicate two years ago when the nets were not allowed there I had four fantastic days into the end of January and was even to catch enough fish to make clients happy as late as Feb 23rd. I am sure we know why this year is so different. It looks like time for those long days headed to Stellwagen and competing with the draggers.
