i would like to let you know i have reached my goal weight of 180lbs as of august of 2004 i have been wanting to post this but did not have the time to. when i joined SB.com i was 298lbs i did this through a weight loss program called TOPS(taking off pounds sensibly) i am 16years old and this was the hardest thing i ever had to do. i went from a 48 waist to a 36

thank you

Canal Rat,

I do not know how to give you the propper applause you deserve. All I can say is dam good job.

As hard as it is, be grateful that you have done this now, and stick with it.

I am 38 and five days ago I was put on a diet that will drastically change my life. I am starting at 303 pounds.

thank you all for your support

Nice job Canal Rat. If you can do that at age 16 then the world is your oyster! I hope you continued happiness and success in 2005. BE PROUD MAN!

Way to go!!! I lost 80 lbs over a year ago, losing that much weight is a life changing event. The hardest part is still ahead. Force yourself to keep those good habits you developed and work on keeping it off. Congrats Again.

With that kind of self-discipline and determination, you'll do great things -

There just may be a 50 in your future - perserverance pays!

"There is no royal road to this heavy surf-fishing. With all the appliances for comfort experience can suggest, there is a certain amount of hard work to be done and exposure to be bourne as a part of the price of success." From "Striped Bass," Scribner's Magazine, 1881.

that's incredible c.r., congrats. i'd like to lose "only" 20 lbs. but i keep putting off starting because i know how difficult that is going to be. on a side note, did you know ryan silvia? he was the 17 year old from plymouth who was killed in a car accident on dec. 5. he is my brother. if you knew him, i'd love to fish with you. heck, if you didn't know him, i'll fish with you anyway. i don't really like fishing alone. congrats again.
