Any Jim Croce Fans Out There?
My earliest recollection of music is that of Jim Croce. When I was in the 5th grade my teacher, Mr. Lind, would bring in some of his records and play them for us. Well, one that stuck in my head at that young age was a Jim Croce album. I have, all of my life enjoyed his music. For his short time here he left quite a great career behind, short as it was. My teacher told me of how he had been killed in a plane crash just a few years earlier. I am right now listening to an album of his I got for Christmas.....really, really great music. Very relaxing to listen to.

(I think it was a great dane, st. bernard, and a few others mix)
Want to guess how he got his name?

"Time in a Bottle" was one of the songs I played at my wedding. He was probably one of the Best Songwriter/Poets of our time.
Its a friggin shame that kids today think Eminem is that to this generation
Been working on my daughter, I have her listening to the Beatles, CSNY, and Loggins and Messina....there is hope

Wow Larry, that makes ya sound ooooold.... There is alot of different genres of music. True there is some aweful crap out there. But, one of my Favorites of all time is still pretty mellow, and not to "noisey"....

Call me old then cause todays music sucks out right!
See all these losers on the music scene today they have to "sample" the classics to make their music or just outright cover the song....no creativity, no originality!

You're old
I will give you that, the majority of the lip sinkers around today do suck, and are nothing but fasion shows put to music. But, in my opinion there are a few that do not fall into that catagory...Jack Johnson for one, Dave Matthews though he is not "new" but he is of this generation...David Gray, he has been around but he just had his first cd put out not too long ago..(DM "found" him)...But, WTF do I know, my favorite genre is Reggae, ya mon...
and I will admit, I do like scantily clad 18yr olds bouncin and traipsing around in jeans that barely come up high enough to cover their kooch......

I know what you mean...but it is scary.
Its more the fact that you see 12 year old girls dressing that way because of the Brittanys and the Christinas of the world.
