Just got back last week from VA, didn't have any time to post until now, but it was a fantastic trip...ended up with a HUGE doe which ran about 190 lbs and unfortunately a button buck. All I can say is that we literally saw HUNDREDS of deer easy. It was unreal! Got down there on Sunday after stopping at Cabela's in PA and not 5 minutes after being in town we saw a herd of about 35 deer in the middle of a field that had been pushed out by a fox hunt. There were something like 7 bucks in this herd none bigger than 6 points. We did see a few bucks in the woods, but the owner of the property asked us to only take something that we would want as a trophy, so we left those deer alone to become trophies next year. There was one buck that pushed past 12 points easy that I saw, but he was on another property across a creek. All in all a great trip, it flew by but there's next year to look forward to.

What? No. We can't stop here. This is bat country. -HST
