Just some oldredwood fence post wood

Okay these are my test run,. I found this wood on my brother-n-laws property. They were under some trees and had been fence post from the ranch. This is first generation redwood that was rough huned probably a 100 years again. I took only one post and brought it home and cut her down. The red was almost a burgundy and the smell was like no redwood I have ever seen.
Better yet the grain was the tightest redwood grain I had ever seen. The plugs carved great and after 3, yes three coats of clear coat epoxy this is what they came out as. I am thinking one more coat of clear coat as the first two coats were absorbed right into the wood! anyway let me know what you think.

No you might fish yours when you get it bubba, but I'm sure you'll hang it.
The picture color is darker than the wood, The color is red not burnt. Dark red and light red. Just cool to look at.
