Do you think Joeycasta knows he got robbed? At one point he was bidding against himself. I've got a Penn 710 greenie he can have for 2 grand. Maybe Joycasta is Doc's alias????

not to validate this goon paying what he did, but you don't understand ebay do you? he wasn't bidding against himself, he was bidding to beat the high bidder. look at the history again.

At the Freeport show in few days you will probably be able to get a sign copy from the man himself, for $5 or $6

And you can get a copy of his defunct magazine as well. Maybe a Tri-Fin lure too.

Both issues, too---both of which are numbered "Volume One"
But, but, Toby, that $86 was for a first edition

I'm trying to get as many surf/fishing books as I can signed because if I hopefully have a son one day, I feel it would be a special gift to leave him a series of old (by then) signed books.
If it wasnt for the snow, I was going to bring my three remaining unsigned books for him(Muller) to sign at the Nassau show, but I never made it. Guess I will try Freeport.

Its from February 18-20th. Most of the fishing guys who attend one show will usually go to this one. I'll be there.

Bill Muller has written a few books:
Surf fishing for Stripers and Blues
Secrets of Surf Fishing at Night
Surf Fishing with the Experts
Fishing for Weakfish and Sea Trout
Did I miss any?
All were great books.

Al Bentsen's chapters on how to rig an eel (fully illustrated in step-by-step detail), and how to fish a rigged eel, are worth the price alone
The picture of surf121's friend's 64 pounder should put to rest a certain someone's contention that a bottle plug couldn't catch a bass in a hatchery after the workers were on strike for a month

I was happy to see that too (the bottle plug shot). I've heard that plug being talked down a lot but I've seen quite a few photos of guys that have caught BIG fish on them
