Group buys on Sat phones & Hydro-glow lights
If anyone is interested we're trying to put group buys together on Satellite phones and Hydro-glow fishing lights. If you want in on it go to Http://www.noreast.com/discussion and go to the offshore section. You'll find two messages pinned to the top of the page. Hopefully we can get some really good deals on these items.

it's a little 12V clicker you hang in the water.
makes noise that attracts sharks.
link
works too
i loaned it to santini for oaks bluff tourney and it got eaten.
he had to replace it
those group buys on noreast are well worth it! saved 150 off retail cause we got something like 40 of them at once.
you should jump on the sat phone deal ronnie.

We should do a group buy for EPIRBS/wgps
Actually, I may be interested in a 4' light. Has anyone ever used these inshore?

WW- You can find the thread in the offshore section of Noreast. Its kind of langusihing right now, and, to be frank, I don't think that group buy is going to happen. OTOH the hyro-light group buy is going ahead full steam.

Mike-
Called CME and looked into the Sat phones.
I learned that unfortunately, it's a year round subscription plan only, you cannot get it seasonally.
For the dozen or so calls I would make to my wife to say "We're fine, fishing is great, we'll be late, we're fine", it seems like a lot of dough to spend $40 - 60 a month all year.
At least with my limited use that is....if you're offshore from June through September it may well be worth it.

Hooper,
yeah, it looks like the group buy on the cell phones died. But we're going ahead with the Hydro-glow lights, if anyone is interested.
