They've been around for a while, and when the fish are on squid they do work.

I made my own out of Yo-Zuri soft squid bodies. Rig 'em up like you would for trolling ... 100 lb test leader wired through varying weights of egg sinkers embedded in the body.

My favorite is glow-in-the-dark color - if you can find it snarf it up.

I've seen a lot of soft squid lures, but it's the first time I've seen these specifically. I thought they'd be a good early season lure when the squid are around.
