Given some of the "ownership" I've seen people seem to think about a spot or a rock, while stupid, it's not surprising. The only surprising thing is the location. I would have expected it to happen at Montauk, MV or on the Cape.

At least there are not many guns in most tackle boxes.
I am not surprised at this one bit. As I have posted some time ago here, I have seen something akin to that in the many years ago at the race point..It was getting ugly and I packed up and left. It is generally a mix of real bad attitudes and booze late at night when the fillet knives and gaffs make an appearence for something other then fish.

I've heard stories of knives being drawn at Montauk.

A couple of people almost took an impromptu swim at Newton Ave. this summer over similar issues.
