I did everything wrong, but...

Well, I went out Saturday night to the west wall with a couple friends. We had bought some fresh bunker and we were going to chunk for blues. We got there just after low tide, as the sun was setting. We sat with our lines out for about an hour, just talking and enjoying the evening, when Antone( one of the people I fish with) got a hit. It was a small blue, about 3 pounds. The tide was still very low, so I had to climb down into the rocks to grab the leader( all three poles were set up with size 6 mustad live bait hooks on silver wire leaders). No sooner did I hit the seaweed line than my pole bent in half. I leapt over the rocks and grabbed the pole and set the hook. About 15 minutes later Antone was climbing down the rocks to grab my 41" 27 lb. striper. You could have knocked me over with a feather. I never expected to get that fish there. It's my second fish over 40 inches and I just wanted to say that it just keeps getting better!

Bill, I hope you know that even torture couldn't get that from me! Anyway, I am dying to go to the Island with you. I have my korkers and my rain gear. I have every Sunday off, but if you'd prefer to go on a Friday night, I'll just take Saturday off. Let me know.
John- I am looking forward to meeting you. Bill has nothing but good things to say, and I love your site. I am having the pictures of my 2 big fish put on disc. If you'd like, I could e-mail you a copy of them. I'm not really sure what you're looking for, for your gallery page. The fall is drawing near. Maybe we could all get together one night, once the fish move back in. looking forward to hearing your reply-Wendy
