What is the running rate for waxing

I got a price from a detail place for 13 dollars per foot. Is this competitive? What questions should I ask?

thats why they call it fishing not catching

How big of a boat? And what is going to be cleaned for $ 13.00 per/ft? I know I just spent all of 16 hours cleaning my boat inside and out, this involves vacuum, washing, buffing with compound, buffing with wax and a final hand wax, also some of that time has an oil and fuel filter change on my outboard. If the yard were to duplicate what I have just done minus the engine work you would be getting one hell of a deal for $ 350.00. You could always hire me for $ 500.00 and your boat will look brandy new when I am done, like my 99 does

I was quoted 15/ft for compound and wax by a yard in Hingham. 16/ft + materials for sand and paint the bottom.

boat waxing

This price is for a boat with 27 loa & 8/12 beam. The price was for waxing and buffing only. I was told it would take 6-7 hours.
