Is there a open/close season for Stellwagen?

I was out there on Saturday, last trip till Sept for Captain John's

There were dozens and dozens of boats out there. All in the same areas too.. I didnt know if it was the end of the season for the area or something.



It ended up being a beautiful day out there.. Slow bite for all till the last hour or two... then the guy next to me who had never been fishing before nailed a 20+ lb cod with 10 mins left to go in the trip

The weather held up, and we saw well over a dozen whales which was neat...
