Great night!And 1st keepa.

Went out this afternoon and got one then waited out a passing T-storm.Dead calm and beautiful out afterwards.

First cast fish.Lots of action.Landed a ton of fish including my first keeper a respectable 31"er.Most hovered around the 24"-27" mark.

All were caught on a 1.25oz #^&#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&#^& bottle popper olive/white.There were some other guys there using atom type poppers but retrieving them at warp speed and they were getting not much.SLOW was the key.Every fish hit on the pause.

Heres to lots more nights like tonight. And bigger fish too.

PS.I did snap a couple of pics but I'm still using ancient technology 35mm film.
It'll be a little while before I can post them.

Right on, Basswipe

I've been doing really well the past week. Released 3 keepers on Sunday including a really fat 33" . Got a 30" at lunchtime today, baked a fillet for dinner.

Gonna take my girlfriend with me tonight and see if I can't hook her up with her
2nd,3rd,4th etc. bass.

I'm sure there'll be a crowd tonight. The usual vampires were out lastnight seeing if there was any action. They'll show early and be honed in right where myself and the couple other regulars were working. Not much to be done about it its a pretty well known spot.

Can't wait to start picking up the squid boxes and plastic bait bags or come across the inevitable toilet paper substitute rag. That's when you know the season is truly underway.

We went lastnight. My girlfriend immediately hooked up but it came off.I had several takers but couldn't hook up.Then the crowd showed. That spot played itself out, time to head back to the "backyard" where its quiet and roomy.

That first filet of the year was quite tasty!

I'm gonna start snapping pics of everything I catch so I can develope the film as soon as possible.I really do need get a digital camera.
