Question Rockport Advice?

I don't hear much mention of the area around Rockport. I'm gonna be up there this weekend and wondered if anybody had any general advice on what to try up that way. Not looking for spot burning, just something more than a shot in the dark. Thanks.

Rockport/Gloucester area is loaded with mackerel right now and a sizeable school of schoolie stripers is roaming the harbor as I type.

Rockport can be a hard place to fish from shore!!! mostly private along the shore!!!! And the COPS love to give out tickets to non resident parking!!!!

Where to go!!! Pebble beach is good; Halibut Point is good!!!

Very early morning if in a car you can fish bearskin neck on the harbor breakwater, there is parking up on the rotary, be gone by 7am or the cops will tag you if no money in the meter!!!!

I just started fishing last year, but my family has a place in rockport so i spend a lot of time there. the advice given here is good, but parking is a pain, try Annisquam river, Pebble beach is good, parking is an issue. I'm not sure if anybody else knows, but I don't think the fish are in off the beaches up there yet, could be wrong though, just speculation.
