Livelining Shad

What technique do you use when livelining shad? I have been using a treble hook with one hook in the mouth and out the roof of the mouth between the eyes, but I had 3 little shad devils spit my treble today with this method.

Would a single 6/0 gamie circle hook work? Would you put it in front of the dorsal?

Thanks....

I take a big treble and hook it through the bridge of the nose. I can't remember ever losing one this way.

Best regards,
Roger
