Cormorants fight like bass.

One decided to fly into my line with a big popper on the end of it.. Hooked its foot... Fought like a bass the whole way in.. kept diving for the bottom. Got a picture of it.. Vicious little things when they get in the boat.

The bluefish have assaulted RI...

Took a few big ones, a few small bass.. one keeper.. Great morning in general.

Weird too.. my wife picked out a god ugly gags minnow for me that I never thought would catch a fish in a million years.. First cast, a bass that had to be 36+ inches took it, then it fell off at the side of the boat...

She wont let me live that down...

The blue fish are all over the place... there are also squeteague mixed in the bag as well... fished this AM with my brother and one of my best friends... wasn't all that bad... no-one got skunked but nothing to brag about... other then some serious blues... caught some in the mid teens everything was feeding on a huge school of tiny silver sides you could almost walk across them... there was a small pod of menhaden that was trapped in the bay... the big blues, and 4 boats made short work of the school.. alot of bass in the 24-30" range...
