Cuttyhunk sign up whos going??
This would not have to be just a one shot deal but lets start with the first weekend in June. We could go over on Fri or Sat. you do not need reservations for the ferry so if you had to cancel last min. it would not cost you anything. I will go over on Fri. for sure so anyone that came over would have a place to hang his hat and we could fish fri. sat. and sun. morn. the boat goes back at 3 and back at New Bedford for 4.

That weekend is my wedding anniversary so that might be tough. Last year, she let me go away for that weekend but I don't think I can push it two years in a row. But....

John I would be glad to have you go over with me for just one night and I could run you back the next day. Would that work for you? If not will still do this weekend and you can pick the one you want to go.

Sounds excellent (I know Clamdigger is probably interested too)...
GB - I'm definitely going, but not sure when. If I commit to the weekend of my anniversary, I'm likely to come home to a bunch of 2 or more piece rods made out of what was once 1 piece rods

GB -
Thanks for the kind offer - I'd like to throw my hat in the ring, I've never been there.
If I am booked to work that weekend (which I'm not now) I'd be able to give ya plenty of notice.
Thanks again,

Hey, What's the big deal about Cuttywhere?
There's no fish there.
That's why I'll be on island that week anyway.

What do say Fish Eye are we to early?? I used to do good on the south beach all the way to west end of island first of June infact I looked it up and my notes from back in the early 80s say June first to the 6th was when I would catch my first Big fish of the year.

Oh yeah, I'd be interested in a big way. Probably too early to try to get out with the boat too, the weather that time of year can be iffy sometimes. What about running a boat over that time of year? Is it too early ie; weatherwise too iffy for a small boat?

ME
Got Stripers I am taking my boat over for the weekend 1851 cc striper seaswirl. If you want to you could bring a boat I do have one morring pole in the harbor infront of the house but the water gets low with tide out no rocks just mud but only about 2' at low. Red Crbbr your from Westport? I am next door in Fairhaven. Clamdigger what kind of gps you looking at? I have a Magellan 315 hand held and a Garmin 128 fix mount on the boat. Of the two I like the hand held the best as it goes with me everywere. If you realy get into the gps look up Maptech searver on the internet it is a great chart site that is free and get this if you look at the bottom of the chart screen as you move your pointer over a rock or reef it will give you the long/lad of that spot to the foot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Once Tattoo and others find out that Cutty is a "dry" island (no blueberries...at least no blueberry beer) you might have to start scratching names off the list
Seriously, the first week of June is great, BUT the last week is fantastic.
It sounds like we have all the makings for a pretty nice tournament...what do you think?

OK so no brew but lots of fish and fun and Fish Eye is right could this become the first annual Striped-Bass.Com tournament on the island It would be up to John if he wants his name on this thing or not? Maybe he should wait to see how this one turns out first. I know the CT. surfcasters have one out there every year. I e-mailed them to see if and when they would have theirs but have not got an answer since last week. The date can be changed to other weekends in June but I think we do want it in June. If every one on the list I posted will pick a weekend I will go with the most popular is that fare?
