Mutant

In between the two 30" grillers I brought home, is yet another species to fall prey to a Ledge Runner Bait, this time a 6" half jerk olive/gold glitter and in 5 feet of water no less. What a mutant fatty fish was and I got some nice thick fillets off her. I've never had one before so I'm interested in seeing if they are as good as everyone claims.

Man I dropped a cow today and picked up some nice ones after the meat was in the live well. It really started to blow, so I started strolling 9 & 13 inch Big/Mega jerks in 20 foot of water with the direction of the blow and the outgoing tide and started picking up some nice fish. I couldn't turn that fish and had to jump on the trolling motor, but then I felt the rubbing of the braid along rocks and that usually doesn't end up well. This fish had some serious weight to her, I'd have loved to have seen how big she was.

Thumb is raw and fish for diner, so life is good.

Biggest Tog I ever got, a 9 lber, took a diamond jig that was intended for stripers. It's cool when you get surprises like that.
