IMHO Easier, better and faster to just use a weighted treble.

I've tried rigs very similar if not exactly like the ones you pictured and I find that the two trebles often tangle on the cast. Plus the weighted hooks seem to be easier to bury into the side of the pogy when you feel the bump. Maybe its just personal preference?

With the return of the pogy schools, I thought some "do it yourself" types might try this rig. The hooks getting caught up on themselves is reduced because the egg sinker slides up against the end hook when the rig is cast into a school. This rig is relatively cheap and easy to make and it works.
