Shark Tourney

I know this isn't a striper topic, but I was wondering if anyone knows if there is a link to follow the shark tournament results out of Martha's Vineyard.

I was on the Vineyard on Thursday (my daughter wanted to go for her birthday) and I saw all the boats rigging their gear, chumming up bluefish, etc.

Any information would be appreciated.

Three-fourths of the Earth's surface is water, and one-fourth is land. It is quite clear that the good Lord intended us to spend triple the amount of time fishing as taking care of the lawn.

I talked with my buddy Tip-n-Ring,
They got a few sharks around 250 lbs on "Tommy's Girl"
I think the winning shark was around 600lbs
Castafari had a shark over 1100lbs but was 10 minutes late for the weigh in!

I heard that tiger weighed in at 1196(?) and if they were on time would have taken the calcutta (about $200K+) + the boat (which was pretty sweet). I would have had that throttle pegged to the pins.

Getting home late

I think somebody needs a faster boat.

Heard from a guy I used to fish with at the OB tourney;
Apparently he got it WAY offshore (canyons) and broke the block and tackle getting it into the boat... had to tow it in, overheated his engine

With a 200K calcutta on the line I think if the rules allowed I wouldve payed a dragger to winch the thing into my cockpit with his boom etc...
Maybe thats against the rules though, cant remember..

Winning was a decent fish, 350ish porbeagle I think....

Shame that tiger had to die for nothing.... :-(

Hey thefishingfreak -- I don't know who took that picture, but obviously they'd been on some rolling seas for a couple of days.
