bigger bass

Just returned from our first overnighter on the boat, what a great time! went out early this morning and got into some really nice 36" stripers, the thing of it was is these fish werre fat! looked like they were getting ready to head south they were so gorged. released all of them so I didn't get a chanse to see what they were feasting on. Has anyone else noticed the fish porking up?

Make it idiot proof, and someone will make a better idiot.

I'm fishing out of Boston and the fish I've been getting this summer have seemed pretty chunky and healthy... more so than past years.

The 32-36" fish especially have been very thick. Not just the bellies, but thru the shoulders. But now that you say that, I was "guiding" my wife's cousin and his son this weekend and I only fished briefly. But I did get a 33" fish that had a pot belly. I even said I thought it had a couple lobsters in its belly.

Van, I meant the fish looked stuffed, like they do in October, not that I think the fall migration is starting early.Anyway they were in the Cape Cod Bay.
