Dead Animal

Ok I thought my sons leaving the freezer door open was the cause of the stink in my cellar, no way after having emptied and cleaned the freezer since last Thursday. Some small animal must have found it's way into my cellar and died, anyone have any good suggetions for either locating it or dealing with the smell. It's foul and I have my house back on the market with another relator, so this isn't good timing.
