Decided to get back in coventional casting with a rod Mike did for me and picked up a tweaked out 7000 Abu from him also, All I can say is just got back from the field and average cast was about 450 ft. Had to leave because weight was stuck in the Trees..... I can smell 600 ft.

Next season I will be 99% conventional.....its the balls! Casts great and you can't beat fighting a nice fish on a conventional rod and reel! Works plugs better too!
Go long and large Habs!

I saw that reel at Mike's before you picked it up, John
Black BG 7000 plates and guts with a HSN frame and spool. Schweet

Oh man, I saw that reel earlier this year at Mikes'. Very nice. You did good. It wasn't for sale back then or I would have snapped it up.
