Split rings...

I have seen the emphasis the past few seasons on beefy split rings, especially since the triple rings came into popularity. My question is this, though: Who has had a split ring fail on a plug? Personally, I have had snaps open up, swivels tear right out of the plug, line break, hooks straighten, through wiring tail loops straighten out, and screw eyes pull from a plug. But, I have yet to have a split ring fail. I use Sampo 4H on smaller stuff and Sampo 6 or 7 (forget exactly) on larger stuff.

I in no way feel that going with triple rings is overkill or shun those who use them, I just have never personally run into an issue. When my current supply of normal rings runs low, I'll be replacing them with triples.
