MV beaches

Any recommendations for a beach on MV with easy access and where I might bump into a fish or two? I'm spending a few days on the island with my wife and will be dragging chairs, cooler and rods around. Have a 4X4 so I can drive on if fee is short. PMs welcome.

You can access South Beach in Katama without a 4x4 sticker, at the end of Herring Creek Rd. Not sure whether you can access at present at the end of Pease's Point Way.

Or, you can park and walk in along Atlantic Drive.

Walk-in access is also very easy all along the State Beach between Oak Bluffs and Edgartown.

Yes..South Beach is very easy to access..I have done that many times with success...State Beach is easy also...Tashmoo also but it isnt easy finding that place if you havent been there before.There are many places to access...My advice is to go into any tackle shop (Larrys,#^&#^&#^&#^&s, Coops), and they will help greatly..As far as 4x4 sticker its a wee bit pricey for just a few days...I think its $180 for a reservation sticker if you are not a member.
