verizon /dsl and long distance calling

Hi in another thread below I said that verizon was running a special on DSL and when I called they saved me 10.00 per month.Well got the bill and they did cut my bill.

Now today I called for a DSL wireless issue and they asked me if I had my long distance with them, nation wide for 49.99 and I said yes.
Again they are having a special for 39.99 So they also knocked that bill down to 39.99

Nothing go's down in price ...so call them now!
Happy in Mass

I make all LD calls on my cell since I'm already paying for it there. I did inbound customer service for AT&T Consumer Long distance for 4 years. People used to call to cancel thier LD because they "got it free with thier cell phone". I can understand the logic in this but always pointed out to them that it's not "free", it's just figured into the cost of the plan. I assume that cell companies can afford to do this because cell calls are routed differently than land line calls.

I just called verizon today and they are sending me out a new router for my dsl. Should be here in a few days. Very nice people ,
The number you listed is a pay number, the correct tech support number is :1-800-567-6789

They said call them when I get the new router $49.99 4 extra ports and they would walk me tru it, they also said I will not need to install any software on the new wireless laptop ? Just a simple config.
And also walk me tru e-mail for my daughter ,Sounds to good to be true.
The good part is I was on hold for 5 min and they spoke english
