I think we should start to think about it. People are planning vacations now, and it would be nice to finish the puzzle called summer.

What are the rules?
Can you use live bait?
Are Stripers always the targeted fish?
Is there a boat division/shore division?
Will someone tow me in if my motor dies, then can I fish fish from shore until the tourney is over?

Saltheart and I are going to make plans on this very soon and work out the details - because of scheduling for June, we might need to have the Rhody leg either June 8 or June 22....
Here is a link to last years rules to give an idea on how we ran the Tourney: http://www.striped-bass.com/sbtourney.shtml
We did not have a boat division but may have one this year - too early to tell....
Looking forward to another fun year with the Tourney
Speaking of Tourney Prizes- CRatt! - I talked to JHabs Saturday, he'll have the prize plugs you won at the show if you want to pick them up there....

Sounds good John, is Don going to be there? If not I probably won't make it to Rhody for a while. Unfortunatly the end of June (21st) I will only have one leg so I will be out of action for a week or so. The trick with the 4-legs is ask where John is fishing then go in the opposite direction!

How about 8 Jun in Rhody, maybe 13Jul in Mass, 14 Sep in Mass and 5 Oct in Rhody?
I've made out OK fishing with John on a few occasions and not so good on a couple of others........but a bad night of fishing is still better than a good night of TV.

I've been fishing with John and caught fish. I think Canalratt must be the bad luck charm.

Couple things:
I like the dates that Fishpart proposes for June and July. They certainly offer the best moon/tides available that are left. It's a little early I think for the fall as there may be some conflicts with other tourneys and the DERBY ... Can't forget the derby...
As far as the weather, yep - hurricane
C-Ratt - I misspoke compounded by a brain faht, I thought you were the winner of the plugs but you won the rod instead, again - just see Don at Weekapag for that...
Schoolie Monster - you won the plugs, therefore I recommend you get your butt to the MSBA show this year and see Johnny for your assortment... No blowing it off as in years past... BTW - Give me a holler at work.
And also to clear the air here while I get abused by a few of you - several people have caught there biggest fish of the year fishing with me and one has gotten their biggest fish ever fishing with me - Just remember that
Biggest fish of season with Good 'Ole me:
Saltheart
Schoolie Monster (twice)
RedCrabber
Bigest fish:
Fishpart

Umm, actually, that one on Nantucket... technically you were off getting a coffee ... still one of my favorite stories.
I didn't blow off the MSBA show last year. That was the weekend of my trip to Florida. Umm, I moved my trip to florida back 2 weeks just so I could come to the show this year...
I'll definitely be there this weekend. Yikes, gotta go get the kid... John, I'll give you a call.
I got a cryptic message from my babysitter yesterday... did you call? She said John, but for Karen about a book or something. She was a bit unsure.

I don't know whether I'm coming or going, so I'm not even going to try to schedule anything. If I can make any of the t's I definately will, they were a good social event, can't say the same about catching . Maybe this year it will be payback and the fishing will be good on the dates we pick. What about a boating tournament? Wev'e got a few of them on the board and I know Schoolies just itching to put his new toy in the water. Maybe boater and guest(s), largest released wins the prize.
