Thumbs up The Mass Bass Show

Mass Bass, Habs, Gibbs, GS Plastics, Burgers and a few short casts…

This was my first visit to the show and I was very impressed. I went up with a few friends from Newport. Was able to talk with Dennis Ryan of Gibbs about what year Gibbs developed their screw eye needlefish. He introduced me to a guy named "Kuznia?" who couldn't tell me the exact year and recommended I call Stan Gibbs himself. Does anyone here have Stan Gibbs phone number? I'm told he lives in Sagamore.
John and Tattoo at the Habs booth had a great display. Their new "special order" plugs looked very nice and will move as fast as they're built. We discussed a few tweaks to some of them which may improve them for guys that like to drape eel skins over them.
I'll put the new needles to test as soon as my order arrives.
Picked up some of the GS soft plastics to try. Great talking with Dave and thanks so much for the burger recommendation at the Charley Horse. That meal topped off a great afternoon.
The Stetzko talk was entertaining. Never met the guy before but he turned out to be just as I imagined a cape "striper junkie" to be. I've met his type all over the northeast and he comes from the same mold.
There was some nice art work of striped bass by a metal smith who I couldn't find at the show. Anyone know who the artist is? No business cards or anything by the display when I went by on Saturday.
All in all a nice day! Much better than the Worcester Show and I'll be back for the next one.
