Tackle Shop Tour

Heading to Mystic, CT this Saturday. Which tackle shops would I have the most fun in (Surfacsting Booty)! Did a search and hear is what I came up with. Will only be able get in 3 to 4 shops before the family applies the serious stink eye:

Rivers End
J&B
Mackey's
Ken's
A&W Marina
Shaffer's
Mystic Angler

Thanks in advance, Chris

Rivers End has anything that you could possibly want as a surfcaster

Put River's End in Old Saybrook at top of list, but make sure the wife isn't watching when you step to register with an arm load of gear. They have so much good stuff. Head back to Mystic and take Rt 1 to King Cove in Stonington, finally tell the family that since(if) you've been doing all the driving, you need to see Captain Don's in Charlestown R.I. Then scenic drive to Narragansett and back home to watch Steelers win.

While you are in Stonington, swing into the borough and have some good eats at Skippers Dock or Noah's...

Stop at Weekapaug B&T. Not for the tackle selection but for the coffee, the primary ingredient of which is probably biker crank. It will provide the fortitude necessary to continue your quest.

River's End #1, no doubt. Lots of great wood plugs there, including some nice stuff from Tattoo, Troublemaker and Beachmaster. They also have some beautiful custom built Lami's, Rainshadow and St. Croix surf rods in stock.

River's End and King Cove it is Here's the Plan

395 South - Pretend to overshoot the Mystic Exit Hit River's End in Old Saybrook
Redeem and hit the Aqaurium and walkabout Mystic
Lunch at Skippers Dock in Stonington (Had a kids menu on the web - )
Hit King's Cove on the way home via RI
Wave to Don on the way by (In Season Stomping Grounds)
Remove cap and bow head on the way by Quaker

Thanks for the help
