Lund Alaskan 18' for sale
1996 LUND Alaskan 18
1996 Yacht Club Trailer
Engine not included - 1996 40hp Honda available for parts
Lightly used - Engine had only 120 hours
Remote steering and side console
Cross seat with extra storage
RayMarine L365 Fishfinder
Adjustable pedestal seat
Camo brown
Trailer has guide ons and bearing buddies and spare tire
Water is getting into the engine oil this year. For the amount of use I get out of it, for me it's not
worth fixing. The boat and trailer are in excellent condition. The boat has just a scratch or two.
The bottom is untouched. It's seen only fresh water the last 2 years. New paint is needed on storage
lids, that is all. There is no salt corrosion. The trailer springs and hubs have no rust - they
have been coated with grease since new. The tires and hub bearings are less than 2 years old.
$4700.00 for Boat and Trailer.

What is the estimated cost to repair the motor?
sounds like it to be a head gasket?

The service center gave several options. The only sure one is a new power head. The cost was something over 3k. I don't remember exactly because I'm not going to pay that. I used it less than 150 hours in 9 years. Time to move on.
I had an offer for the engine but I'm waiting for now in case someone wants the whole thing.

Question
If someone takes the engine what would you want for the hull and trailer?

Well yeah, like a house. No matter what you think it's worth it's only worth about what others in the neighborhood have sold for. Question is, what are they selling for. One person who should know tells me what the book price is, but another who should know tells me about demand and availability. What can I do, I'm not a boat guy. I let the market tell me. Maybe it's one, maybe it's the other, maybe it's in the middle.
The boat will find it's price.

I'm not trying to bust your stones. Just wanted you to know what most perspective buyers would probably do. Your price if the motor was running and included would be fair. Here's the hullhttp://www.nadaguides.com/Values/ValueReport.asp?UserID=5509396258D0B&DID=38702&Typ e=MR&GCode=MR&wPg=1107&wSec=4&Letter=L&Com=0939&Ye ar=1996&Model=1600107731
Good luck with your endeavor.

Don't worry, my stones are intact. And thanks for the link. Trust me I know better than to argue with the market. Better to test it, though, than to give it away.
If anyone's interested tell me what you will pay for it and we'll go from there.
